Welcome to SCRMUSIC

It is the mission of the Board of Directors to provide a conference that includes a quality musical experience for all student participants, to schedule highly informative clinics pertinent to the profession of music education, and offer opportunities for professional growth. It is a goal of the conference to provide professional, university and student musicians the opportunity to demonstrate their exceptional music talent and skills. The Board of Directors shares the vision that music education is vital to the success of any school system and hopes that this convention will showcase the attributes of including the study of music in the curriculum. Throughout the ages, music has been a cherished and revered medium of expression
that reflects our many cultures and experiences. Through music expression, our lives are enriched and our heritage is preserved.

Dear Mark,

Many thanks for the invitation to conduct the SCRMC
Honor Band. As you know, the students were absolutely
terrific to work with, and Tim Kovarik's organization of
the music and auditions made the rehearsals run in an extremely angst-free manner! He is a "keeper," and I hope you can keep this talenetd young man actively involved in your conference.

Please pass on my thanks to Walter Moss, Corey Daniel and David Holland. (Or if you will share their email addresses, I'll thank them personally.)

Mark, your vision for this event provides a most positive opportunity for both teachers and students to grow and to experience the joy of making music. I know the students appreciate this unique opportunity not only to perform, but to hear great performances.

Best wishes for continued success...I hope you can find time for some well-deserved rest before your next project begins!

All best,

Paula
